Kniffelix As A Hands-On Activity

Research Online

Which Biofilms Do I Know? How Does Nature Use Biofilms? Why And How Do Researchers Want To Use Biofilms To Create Sustainable Production Processes? Which Career Paths Could I Choose To Also Participate In Interesting Topics Like These?

On www.kniffelix.de, a free edutainment platform is being created that sparks curiosity and inspires a love of research. Here, children, teenagers, and all curious minds can get an introduction to exciting topics such as biofilms, try out their own hands-on experiments, gain insights into current research topics of the priority program, meet scientists at work, and understand the content interactively. While the new topic “Biofilms” is still being developed within the framework of this priority program, there is already a wide selection of other topics for everyone aged 8 to 99+ – from fungi, biocatalysis, and beverage science to aerogels and chromatography, and even pizza, ketchup, airplanes, and our planet.

Box With Various Laboratory Materials

Lab in a Box

The Biofilm Box

Our Biofilm Box Brings The Laboratory Directly Into The Classroom. The Box Contains All The Materials Students Need To Discover And Explore Biofilms Themselves – From Test Tubes To The Microscope. This Makes Science Tangible And Fun!
We Are Currently Developing The Box Within The Framework Of The Priority Program To Provide Schools With Easy Access To Modern Microbiology. Already, At TU Hamburg, RPTU In Kaiserslautern, And Saarland University, Loan Experiment Kits On Other Topics Are Available.
